Walking / Hiking
There are direct walks from the property onto moorland and we are close to Cox Tor, Pew Tor, Sheepstor and Burrator reservoir.
The full beauty of Dartmoor, with the remaining Tors, leats, villages and wildlife is just minutes away by cycle or car.
Cycling
Whistleigh Farm is located close to Drakes Trail - a spectacular 22-mile walking and cycling route, between the maritime city of Plymouth and Tavistock, on the western edge of Dartmoor. Here, the scenery across Devon’s south coast, woodland and moorland is breathtaking.
Bike hire is available within walking distance of the property.
Life on the water
The coast is easily reached in Plymouth or nearby beaches for open water swimming, sailing or paddleboarding. Nearby Lopwell Dam is also a good paddle boarding location to explore the estuary.
Golf
There are golf courses nearby at Yelverton or at Tavistock.

The nearby town of Tavistock has local boutiques as well as a thriving market.
Plymouth and Exeter are both within easy reach offering a wide variety of shops and attractions
